Motor Vehicle Electrics

The Motor Vehicle Electrics course is a hands-on vocational program focused on the installation, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of electrical and electronic systems in motor vehicles. The course is designed to prepare learners for careers in the fast-growing automotive electrical sector.
Running for 12 months and structured into three academic terms, this course combines theoretical instruction with extensive workshop-based training. Learners are evaluated through internal assessments at the end of each term and must pass a final NITA Trade Test (Grade III) to be nationally certified.

Assessment and Certification

  • External Final Examination: Administered by NITA at the end of Term 3.
    • Successful candidates receive a NITA Trade Test Certificate – Grade III
    • Eligible for progression to Grade II and Grade I after additional training or work experience.
