Bahati Vocational Training Centre

Bahati Vocational Training Centre stands as a pillar of hope and empowerment within the heart of Nairobi’s Eastlands. Deeply rooted in the Bahati community, the institution is committed to equipping the youth and adults trainees with practical, market-relevant skills that lead to employment and self-reliance. Accredited by the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA), Bahati VTC offers certified training in  grade Test Trades and Artisan Courses such as Fashion design and Dressmaking, Electrical installation and wireman, Food and Beverage Production and Service (Catering), Plumbing, Hairdressing and Beauty therapy, Driving and computer operator and packages.
The centre’s programmes are tailored to meet the needs of a densely populated, low-income community, providing affordable, hands-on education to learners who may otherwise lack access to formal training. 
With modest infrastructure that includes workshops and practical training areas, the VTC continues to deliver quality training. More than just a training facility, BAHATI VTC plays a critical role in addressing youth unemployment, bridging skills gaps, and contributing to sustainable community development.

Our Courses

Bahati Vocational Training Centre offers a diverse range of accredited technical and vocational courses, designed to provide practical, hands on & industry-relevant skills that empower learners for employment, entrepreneurship, and self-sufficiency. We are a PWDs friendly environment.

Short courses are available for learners seeking fast-track skills acquisition taking 4 to 12 weeks

 

Driving

  • Class A2, A3, B1, B2, and B3 - 4 weeks
  • Driving refresher course A2, A3, B1, B2, and B3 – 2 weeks

 

ICT & Digital Skills:

  • Computer packages – 12 weeks
  • Graphic Design – 12 weeks
  • Web Design and Development – 12 weeks
  • Graphic Design – 12 weeks
  • Cyber Security Essentials – 4 weeks
  • ICDL – 12 weeks 

 

Beauty & Grooming: 

  • Shampooing, Blow-Drying & Plaiting – 2 weeks
  • Weaving & Dread locking – 2 weeks
  • Relaxing & Perming – 2 weeks
  • Nail Technology – 2 weeks
  • Make-Up – 3 weeks
  • Barbering – 2weeks 

 

Electrical Installation: 

  • Single phase / Three Phase Power Installation – 4 weeks
  • Domestic Power Installation – 12 weeks
  • Solar PV Installation and Maintenance – 12 weeks 

 

Hospitality & Catering: 

  • Catering and Event Services – 3 weeks
  • Pastry and Baking – 4 weeks
