Kahawa Garrison Vocational Training Centre stands as a pillar of hope and empowerment within the heart of Nairobi’s Northlands. Deeply rooted in the Kahawa Garrison community, the institution is committed to equipping youth and adults with practical, market-relevant skills that lead to employment and self-reliance. Accredited by the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA), Kahawa Garrison VTC offers certified training in trades such as Dressmaking, tailoring, and ICT. 

The Centre is tailored to meet the needs of a densely populated, low-income community, providing affordable, hands-on education to education to learners who may otherwise lack access to formal training. With modest infrastructure that includes workshops and practical training areas, the VTC continues to deliver quality instruction despite urban challenges. More than just a training facility, Kahawa Garrison VTC plays a critical role in addressing youth unemployment, bridging skills gaps, and contributing to sustainable community development.

Kahawa Garrison Vocational Training Centre offers a diverse range of accredited technical and vocational courses, designed to provide practical, industry-relevant skills that empower learners for employment, entrepreneurship, and self-sufficiency. We are a PWDs friendly environment.

Main Courses Offered

Courses are available at Artisan Level and Grade III, II, and I, with examinations administered by:

  • National Industrial Training Authority (NITA)
  • Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC)

Duration: 2 years
